Second Principle: Earth Consciousness
If we saw a man polluting the air his mother breathes, poisoning the water she drinks, and depleting the soil and seas of the food she eats, surely we would call the police.
We would put this man on trial for intent to murder.
We must be honest.
We all participate in the slow death of Earth. From space it is apparent that we are becoming barren at an alarming rate. Gaia, our mother, looks and sounds unhappy. We cannot control the larger forces of nature that are always at play, but we can be sure we do not play to our disadvantage. Perhaps we adapt to and learn from Nature. Perhaps the time of dominion over has passed,
and the time of union with has come.
This is Earth Consciousness.
